Healthcare perspectives
One kid is raised in a US military officer's family, another kid is raised as a non-commissioned officers kid.
They both go to the same military hospital.
The officers kid gets a sniffle and goes to the doctor and Breezes ahead passed waiting patients and the dr. Sees him immediately. The non-com kid goes in with a broken limb and sits while officers kids go ahead with colds and minor ailments.
Is this reality.? There is some truth in it, but to a lesser degree. It's more like they both have colds and the officers kid goes first. They both have injuries and both get seen immediately.
Both kids grow up healthy. Both get the best medical care on the planet.
It's all in your perspective.

The devil vs the buffoon
The devil vs the buffoon
Now that the election is over, sort of, here's my take. Both candidates were a terrible choice. With either one the following will happen:
Q. Baby slaughter will continue.
W. Murderers will go free.
E. The debt will grow with little control.
R. More people will become slaves to the government.
T. Taxes will rise.
Y. Illegal immigration continues.
U. Health costs sky rocket.
I. A few poor high tech start-ups get rich.
O. Single motherhood will rise.
P. The gay agenda will destroy more lives.
The devil would have operated more smoothly.
The buffoon will seem comical at times.
Oddly enough, the press may have been rooting for the buffoon.
Prove me wrong.

Small Midwestern towns
They lie on an endless plate of green and brown. Two lane black top ribbons connect them in nearly straight flat lines. In day light their water tanks and graineries tower into the sky. As dusk gathers her strength random points of light shine along the horizon.

Mess with your head
Tired of the same old dream and sLeep patterns? Well try this. Download a bible that will read the text continually all night long. This works better if you sleep alone. Play the text very quietly, so you can still fall asleep.
Comment if you have anything interesting to report. Include the version of the bible, gender of voice, speed, pitch, how long till hallucinations. Not really. If hallucinations were that easy everyone would be doing it.

The uninvited guest
This vine has been spreading along the fence for a couple of years now. We half heartedly pull up sections of it when it heads into the yard. These fall colors are definitely it's strong suit.

Job
I tend to shy away from controversy. So let's talk about Job.
Is life Fair? The answer of course is no. Here's a guy who loves God with all his heart. He prays continually. God turns Satan loose on him and his life is destroyed. He gets to keep his wife and his life. Then his best friends show up and berate him for many chapters. Then God shows up and talks to him like he's a three-year-old, never apologizes, and gives him all his stuff back.
Job has his moments though.
Job 31
If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door; [10] Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her.
She has already expressed her low opinion of God and frustration with job. God never addresses her, but maybe gets even by having her deliver and raise another crop of kids.
Job admits that he spoke about things he did not understand. In the end it leaves one feeling a little empty, and uncertain about the nature of God.

If
If I had it to do again?
Run Through the Jungle (more)
From the sixth to eighth grades we lived in Puerto Rico. There was jungle, and we spent time there.
Put the lime in the coconut
I got so drunk in college once that I ran into the divider between toilet stalls and knocked myself out. I've always said a little prayer for those souls that tucked me into bed out cold.
keep my eye on the ball
In the third grade I was on a baseball team. While standing on the sidelines a little girl from behind me said, here boy catch. I turned around and caught it in my eye. Yes it hurt. I hate baseball.

Dream big
My wife and I are on a vacation somewhere cold and snowy. We get separated. I realize my phone and wallet are missing. Eventually my keys disappear also. The disturbing thing about this was my lack of concern. It occurred to me that my wife would be upset because she couldn't call. Don't get me wrong, my personal effects are an important part of my daily routine. Still, the day grows nearer when they will never be needed again.
Generally my dreams bear little or no resemblance to events in my life, but ... later today an office co-worker misplaced his phone and told about losing both sets of keys to his car two years earlier. Maybe l was somehow telegraghing to him. Maybe coincidence. Maybe we're all connected in some unsettling way.

It's so easy to criticize others. Since most of society is made uo of social people, we find it easy to pick on loners.

Dream Fore
There was other stuff in this dream, but it ended with a woman I don't know walking with me on an ice flow. The ice was generally white, but there were shallow pools that had what looked like pink granular volcanic rock, maybe.
I stopped walking while crossing one of these pools and sunk in to my waist. With some urgency, I asked the woman to grab my hand. We both had on gloves and she gingerly gripped my fingers. As I continued to sink she let go and said, hold on I'll be right back. I quickly went under and could feel the acceleration of falling through the water slush. I continued breathing under water and woke up.
In the morning my wife informed me Great Britain had voted to leave. Shocking.

Death
Someone near and dear to me is a wonderful person, as long as they are near death.
From this we extrapolate that the world would be a great place if we could keep everyone thinking they had one foot in the grave.
